Resveratrol

Resveratrol is a compound found in various grapes, nuts, roots, and other naturally grown plants. It is found in high concentrations in grapes. The highest concentration is in the skin of the grape. Over the past 20 years, research has shown that Resveratrol can protect and repair DNA, it positively impacts genetic regulators, promotes mitochondrial biogenesis, and slows the Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGE) proteins. Scientists have also discovered that using Resveratrol with a special polyphenol blend, they can control the genetic regulators of our body. These regulators are responsible for cellular damage and repair. By controlling these genetic regulators, they can help control the aging process.

Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR)

Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALCAR) is a natural remedy super antioxidant, occurring form of L-carnitine that specifically benefits the brain. ALCAR helps supply the brain with energy by improving energetics in the mitochondrion, the cell's energy generator. ALCAR promotes biosynthesis of acetylcholine, a key neurotransmitter for brain and nerve function. Acetyl-L-Carnitine has been shown in clinical studies to benefit cognitive ability, memory and mood.

Green Tea Extract

Green tea, is the un-fermented version of black tea. This very pleasant and soothing tea has been consumed for centuries by Asian cultures, and has been recognized for its healing properties. Science demonstrates that Green tea is super rich in phenolic compounds called catechins. Catechins have been described to possess antioxidant effects that are many times stronger than vitamin antioxidants such as vitamins C and E. These effects may prevent many disease pathologies ranging from cancer to cardiovascular disease.
Many people use green tea to help with cognitive performance and mental alertness. It is also widely used to promote weight loss. Scientific evidence shows that green tea may be an invaluable ally for health prevention. Daily consumption of green tea has been shown to significantly improve mental alertness.  Daily consumption of green tea has also shown a significant reduction in the risk for bladder, esophageal, and pancreatic cancer. Other studies demonstrate that drinking ½ cup – 2 cups daily of this tea may lower blood pressure by 46%. Furthermore, women that drink green tea have a 46% lower risk for ovarian cancer. At the end of the day, green tea may be the most valuable beverage in the prevention against chronic disease.

Pomegranate Powder

Pomegranates are not only known as very tasteful and enjoyable fruits but are receiving growing attention in the scientific community for their many health benefits. Studies show that this food offers protection against many cardiovascular risk factors. For instance, preliminary investigations show that after one year of drinking 50 ml/day of pomegranate juice, the thickness of the walls of the carotid artery were reduced by 35%, thus slowing the progression of atherosclerosis. Another recent study demonstrates that drinking 50 ml/day of pomegranate juice can significantly lower systolic blood pressure by 5-21 %. Other noted potentials with this juice are its reported protection against prostate cancer progression. Scientists speculate that the very strong antioxidant properties associated with the high levels of polyphenols found in pomegranates, are largely responsible for its health benefits.

Blueberry Powder

Packed with antioxidant phytonutrients called anthocyanidins, blueberries neutralize free radical damage to the collagen matrix of cells and tissues that can lead to cataracts, glaucoma, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, peptic ulcers, heart disease and cancer. While wine, particularly red wine, is touted as cardioprotective since it is a good source of antioxidant anthocyanins, a recent study found that blueberries deliver 38% more of these free radical fighters. Researchers have found that blueberries also help protect the brain from oxidative stress and may reduce the effects of age-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Blueberries are high in the soluble fiber pectin, which has been shown to lower cholesterol and to prevent bile acid from being transformed into a potentially cancer-causing form. Blueberries can help relieve both diarrhea and constipation. In addition to soluble and insoluble fiber, blueberries also contain tannins, which act as astringents in the digestive system to reduce inflammation. Blueberries also promote urinary tract health.

Spirulina Powder

Spirulina, also known as blue-green algae, is a mixture of single celled organisms with cellular similarities to both plant and animal species. Spirulina is considered a super food since it is a rich source of B vitamins, iron, minerals, and protein. Spirulina contains approximately 65% protein, similar to the amount found in meat, fish and poultry. Given its high protein content, it has been used as a super food for stabilising blood sugar levels. It is also a rich source of antioxidants phycocyanin and chlorophyll. Preliminary studies have demonstrated that certain sulphur compounds extracted from this algae help protect human T-cells from infection with the AIDS virus. Natural health advocates suggest that this super food may help with weight loss, inflammatory states, premenstrual syndrome, attention deficit disorder, depression, anxiety, fatigue, cognitive function, immune function, and digestive health.

Chlorella Powder

Chlorella is a-single celled, fresh water green algae, also known as seaweed. It is considered a super food since it contains rich levels of B vitamins, vitamin B12, essential fats, chlorophyll, trace minerals, enzymes, fiber and protein. Chlorella has been traditionally used for a variety of health conditions including fibromyalgia, depression, immune function, digestive health, detoxification, bowel health, high blood pressure, ulcers, and PMS. Indeed, preliminary studies suggest that this algae may improve the management of fibromyalgia as reflected by reduced symptom scores and pain with its supplemental intake.

Phosphatidylcholine

Phosphatidylcholine is a phospholipid that acts as a natural emulsifying agent, in other words it improves absorption of healthy fats and fat soluble nutrients such as vitamins A, E and D. Research shows that this phospholipid may help improve symptoms of manic depression.  Phospholipids may help improve the absorption dynamics of nutritional supplements.

Cranberry Powder

Cranberries have been valued for their ability to reduce the risk of urinary tract infections for hundreds of years. Cranberry juice's benefits have now been shown to also extend to protection against viruses. Not only kidney infections, but the majority of infectious diseases are initiated by the adhesion of pathogenic organisms to the tissues of the host. Cranberries ability to block this adhesion has been demonstrated not only against E. coli, the bacterium most commonly responsible for urinary tract infection, but also for a number of other common pathogens. Research conducted at the University of Scranton demonstrated that cranberries' antioxidants could protect LDL cholesterol from oxidation, and provided evidence that cranberries can decrease levels of total cholesterol and LDL (low density or "bad" cholesterol).

100% Pure Multi-Strain Marine Phytoplankton

This exclusive phytoplankton is the most nutrient dense and cleanest form of phytoplankton available. It is carefully harvested in state of the art, photo-bioreactor environment, to ensure the cleanest most nutritious product free of common contaminants such as heavy metals and PCBs. The harvested phytoplankton is ultimately freeze dried to a stable powder which is further tested for optimal quality.

This microscopic sea plant, known as the vegetables of the sea, provides substantial levels of plant protein, healthy omega 3 fats, essential vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, carotenoids and phytochemicals. Phytoplankton has been suggested to provide unique plant pigments with health potentials and to provide optimal nourishment at the cellular level.

Independent testing has also shown that marine phytoplankton provides levels of antioxidants similar to that of many cruciferous vegetables. The cruciferous vegetables are well known for their health preventing properties, including the prevention of many forms of cancer and cardiovascular events. Thus, the antioxidant and cellular nutrition support of phytoplankton may be accounting for the many health benefits associated with its supplemental use. However, research is required to further explore the health potentials of this super food before conclusions can be made.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)

Alpha lipoic acid, also known as thioctic acid, is a fatty acid. Most antioxidants can be dissolved in either a water or an oil environment, but not both. Alpha lipoic acid can be dissolved in either, making this free-radical scavenger a powerful antioxidant for navigating between cells. Research indicates it can regenerate vitamin C from its oxidized form, dehydroascorbic acid. Alpha lipoic acid can also potentially regenerate other antioxidants. Another alpha Lipoic acid benefit is that it increases the levels of glutathione, a very important antioxidant normally found in our cells and responsible for mopping up all types of toxins and free radicals. Alpha lipoic acid may also have a health benefit in a variety of medical conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and Huntington's disease.

Kelp

Kelp is a type of sea vegetable related to brown algae and is native to all oceans of the world. Kelp is rich in essential nutrients, such as calcium, potassium and iodine. As a rich natural source of iodine -which is not found in abundance in the diet - kelp may be especially important to those with under-active thyroids (hypothyroidism). In addition to their nutritive value, when eaten, the kelp absorbs waste from the body fluids, binds with poison, and carries them off. Research has also shown that kelp is a good antioxidant, diuretic and endocrine tonic and cultural studies relating to the dietary consumption of kelp have shown it to lower the rate of breast cancer, heart disease, rheumatism, arthritis and infectious diseases. Kelp also provides nutritional support to the nervous system and heart in the form of iodine, vitamins, minerals and cell salts.

Alfalfa

Alfalfa is a plant which sends its roots down twenty to thirty feet into the ground and brings up the minerals that are not available on the surface. For this reason, the Arabic word Alfalfa means "father of plants". Alfalfa is rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that play a vital role in the strength and growth of our bones and in the maintenance of a healthy body. It contains protein and vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamin K. It also contains calcium, potassium, carotene, iron, and zinc. Alfalfa is known to reduce blood sugar levels and to help dissolve kidney stones.
